Scrapbooking in Ireland getting great publicity this week!

We've arrived (scrappers that is)!! Finally scrapbooking in Ireland is getting the publicity it deserves and I've been doing my best to help spread the word!

On Wednesday I was interviewed by Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk FM (106-108fm) who had heard about a big scrapbooking event in France and wanted to know if the hobby was popular here too. I hope I managed to explain what the hobby involves and after the interview people were texting in to the show to say how much they loved the idea of scrapbooking and hadn't heard that the hobby existed before now.

If you missed the show and would like to listen to the interview just click here

Then today I got a text from Gertie saying how she'd read the article in the Evening Herald! What article, where??? I said. So off with me to the shops and there on Page 11 was a brilliant article all about scrapbooking.

It was written by Claire Coughlan and I have to say it's the best article I've read about scrapbooking in Ireland. She really captured the essence of the hobby and seems to have a real insight into how enjoyable scrapbooking is.

She also mentioned our forum http://www.scrapbooking.ie/ and said it was "a dedicated site ... where scrapbook enthusiasts can check out the latest news, have discussions about what they're working on and get information on where to buy the best materials."

Couldn't have put it better myself :-)
